The wedding season has officially opened and with it, invitations have started to slowly stack up. It's a great chance for us ladies to showcase our newest lavish threads. I would have never considered buying a blush gown (due to my light skin tone), until two of my friends coincidentally both opted for this color. I realized that the color is so soft and romantic, that it creates the perfect ode to the couples love. It doesn't take away attention from the bride's white gown but merely compliments it.
In some countries, guests are allowed to wear white, which I find a bit unfair. You sort of end up looking like you're competing with the bride. If you want to make a statement, but not take away from the bride's spotlight, blush is the way to go.
If you're worried about chilly spring nights, I would suggest selecting a gown with long sleeves and stilettos to keep you warm, but still have you looking ever so elegant. I find that the best colors to accessorize with are ivory, mint and grey with silver or gold accents. Gowns usually call for dramatic drop earrings so chose ones with colored crystals or stones. The clutch should compliment the jewelry but play up a nice contrast to the gown. The main focus should be on the dress so chose a simple pair of strapped heels.
Keep the hair up in a loose bun. Makeup should be subtle - nude lips and a smokey eye with a touch of pink or brown, depending on your eye color.

Most importantly, celebrate someone's big day having fun and taking pictures with friends and family. Those are the memories you'll love to come back to.
